Don & Toni Roberts, Co-Owners

Don has been in the flooring industry for 49 years. As co-owner of Central Alabama Flooring, they do business under Don’s Carpet One Floor & Home and Wheat’s Carpet One Floor & Home brands. As the past president of the Retail Division of Carpet One, a cooperative of over 1,000 locations across the US, his job is to make sure his stores are a good place for customers to shop for flooring, Cabinets, Countertops and more. Providing exceptional customer service to their customers both in sales and service is his top priority. Don has worked in both the retail and manufacturing side of the flooring industry and has managed teams from 7 to 700. Don’s hobbies include his family especially his grandchildren as he and his wife, Toni, have two children, Taylor, and Chase, who also have 3 children of their own. With three grand kids, there are always new hobbies to find!

Angie Little, General Manager

Angie has been in the flooring industry for over 21 years with a background in sales and management. She attended Auburn University at Montgomery and studied Marketing. Angie enjoys working with her team at Don’s Carpet One to ensure that each client has the best possible experience when shopping for new flooring, cabinets and blinds. Angie lives in Trussville with her husband and two children.

Ellen Olvey, Owner, Builder and Commercial Sales

Ellen has worked at Don’s Carpet One for 20 plus years specializing in builder and commercial sales. Ellen works outside sales and is available by appointment to help with flooring and decorating needs for your remodeling or building project.

Dondi Howell, Retail Sales

Dondi Howell grew up in the flooring industry and has worked as an installer, in retail sales and management for the past 42 years. He attended Auburn University and studied Architectural Design. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He is also an active member of Smokey City Model Rails Railroad Club.

Melinda Hedrick, Interior Designer, Retail & Construction Specialist

Melinda Hedrick has worked with Don’s Carpet One for over 26 years. With over 35 years of experience in the design field, she is well versed in all areas of flooring. Growing up in a “new home construction” family of builders she enjoys working with clients from “the ground up” and making your home design dreams come true. She also specializes in kitchen and bath remodels. Put her experience and design skills to work for you today.

Hi, I’m Jamarcy!  I’m a native of Birmingham, Alabama.  I’m an alumni of Shades Valley High School and also attended JSU and Jeff State.  I’m obsessed with leveling the playing field.  In 2011, when I embarked on my entrepreneurial journey and centered my vision that beautifying people’s homes ought to be more approachable, inclusive and (yes)fun.  Within a few years of launch, I’d grown a profitable business. Beautifying people’s homes is my life!

Carrie Tiedens is a Residential Interior Designer by trade who enjoys finding the right products and materials to create a beautiful, cohesive and functional space.  In her free time she loves to spend time in nature with her husband and two rescue dogs.
